Slow Day

Today was crazy sock day at my daughter's school. I think Rachel would have loved to attend!

Thankfully, I've let go of some of my need to control my kids' wardrobe choices. It is an area where they can exert their budding independence. But, I did have to enact a new rule this AM. My son was dressed in shorts for school. When he left for the bus at 7am, it was 37 degrees! I said that if the temp is under 40, he must wear pants.

Beautiful visual journey through your slow day. By the way, what type of tree is the conifer hanging on in one of the pictures?

Beautiful day! I do have to ask... what are you doing with all of the buckets?

LOVE the pics :) :) Was that a purple princess flower plant I saw in the background of a few of your photos? That's a beautiful plant :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)

Are those homemade doughnuts in your picture? I would love the recipe -- they look yummy! :)

Hi Lindsey, They are sort of homemade. You start with a can of biscuits, fry in oil and drain and then roll in sugar! YUM! My mom always made these growing up and we loved them! Now, my littles love them too :)
